Our farm is located in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines at an altitude of about 900 m above sea level. Our cattle, Limousine and Garronesi , following the cow-calf breeding method, live most of the 'year in the green pastures of Garfagnana and then return to the barn in the winter period to defend themselves from the cold temperatures and to allow a greater control of the herd in a very special period that is that of births.

The land is cultivated for the production of Garfagnana PGI spelt, ancient grains, potatoes, "formenton 8 rows " and other vegetable plants . Much of the farm's meadows are mowed in the summer and hay is produced there, which will be fed to cattle in the winter period.

The chestnut groves not only provide shelter for the herd but also give us the prestigious chestnuts to be able to produce "da nec flour " ( chestnut flour). Laura and Valto 's advice regarding good cultivation of the soils is always welcome and always correct. The manure produced in winter is distributed in the soils to make them fertile and productive. Farm animals raze the gardens before planting. The cultivated land hosts a different crop each year.
